A positive outlook

I wanted to write not just about running, but also about healthy living. Well, let’s get started on a bit of statistic from the Mayo Clinic in the US that claims that having a positive outlook decreases the risk of early death by 50% (compared to those people with a negative outlook).

A good way to keep that positive outlook through the winter is by keeping smiling. Make your family and friends smile. Shout a friendly “good morning” to your neighbour and smile at a stranger in the street. I learned that by being happy I receive happiness back.

So, what makes you smile? Hearing your favourite song? A phone call from a friend? The sound of the ocean? Finding something to be passionate about?

Whatever it is: Keep smiling!
