Running makes you happy (research says so)

It’s January 10th and all your New Year’s resolutions about healthy living and exercising more are alreday tumbling? Now, mine are still strong and here are a few titbits that get me going (plus my inner nagging voice, but we already know that…).

According to a Taiwanese study, if you exercise only 15 minutes 6 days a week, you’ll live 3 years longer.

Other research suggests that 2.5 hours of exercise a week decreases the risk of heart disease by 14%.

And my favorite (proven by my own self study) is that exercise makes you happier. Another study suggests that 45 minutes of cardio exercise 3 times a week boosts energy and reduces stress.

Why are you still reading? Go out and be happy!

  1. Oh yeah… I got so engaged reading your blog, I forgot to thank you for following mine!

    Much gratitude,

  2. Oh so true! I miss my running (28 surgeries knocked that out) but exercise in any form keeps the endorphins flowing.

Running for a cause… so cool!

I see you are inspiring and healthy too 🙂
