Signs of spring…

Shoot! My legs still don’t walk straight.

perfect blue in the sun

My calves are still screaming whenever I walk upstairs, downstairs. Until my San Diego race I will definitely stay away from the evil new Legs, Bums, Tums instructor. I like a demanding workout, but when it starts interfering with my running, I get cranky and then it’s for sure not the right workout for me.

Hopefully, all will be ok for tomorrow’s race. Otherwise the revised race strategy will be “to enjoy the scenery”. 🙂

Anyways, on a cheery note, I went for a walk yesterday to move my legs and saw some signs of spring. It was beautiful just walking around and taking in the color. Lots of yellow everywhere.

I won’t have time this weekend, but hope to find a couple of hours next week to walk through the botanical garden or the plantation in Richmond Park.

I love spring time. Actually I love all seasons for different reasons. But the abundant colors during spring time are always refreshing after a grey winter.

I am going to try a short and easy run today. See how far my legs are behaving themselves and continue to enjoy the flowers on the side of the trail.

Happy Friday!

  4. I love Spring too – just lovely. Hope the legs get better, and good luck for your race!

  5. I am with you girl on loving all the seasons for their special beauty, but today when i woke up and heard birds signing, opening my balcony door – I took a breath of fresh newly born spring air – and it made me feel incredibly joyful and even inspired. And my morning 30 min yoga alongside the spring sound and fresh air was better than ever. 🙂
    have an amazing day!
