My own personal jungle…

I am taking the slowing down quite seriously. 🙂

The weather has finally turned around and I am enjoying it A LOT! My race in San Diego is only 10 days away and I am rather excited about the trip. My training is just tapering now, so lots of time left enjoying the sunshine in the park, garden and on the patio (note to self: need new patio furniture like a sun lounge).

Of course I don’t want to keep you too long, so you can enjoy the great (hopefully) weather wherever you are. But I wanted to share a couple of pics from my own personal jungle. I mentioned the other day that the towpath is getting quite overgrown and is starting to look like a mini rainforest. A little way from me there is a smaller Thames arm that goes parallel to the actual river. It’s a sanctuary for all kind of wildlife and to me looks like a jungle, my own personal jungle.

Guard well your spare moments. They are like uncut diamonds. Discard them and their value will never be known. Improve them and they will become the brightest gems in a useful life.
