Today is Jay’s Day!

Our teammate and former coach, Jay Taylor, is beginning the next phase of his journey to full recovery today at MD Anderson in Houston, TX. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.

I have known Jay for over 4 years and he has been a running buddy for my very first half marathon and a few subsequent races. We most recently ran a race together in Anchorage, Alaska, last summer. He has been relentlessly running and fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for many years.

I’m donating $10 in his honor to LLS through my fundraising page.

  1. I trained with Team In Training years ago and successfully completed a marathon because of the excellent program they offer to runners. I also raised funds on behalf of the LLS in memory of a loved one I lost to leukemia.

I wish Jay the best and I’m sending him positive energy as he fights this battle.

  2. My CC is in the States… I’ll save the post and donate when I’m home in 10 days. I have someone special in my life who fought this battle… She had CML.
