Please, sun, come out and play!

I can’t believe it’s July already.

Maybe it’s because there is nothing that reminds me of summer outside. It’s been a dreadfully cold and rainy June (I believe the they said the wettest in many years).

I have been reading the many Juneathon blog post. My contribution to Juneathon was to run as little as possible. LOL. After my half marathon at the beginning of June I have run twice and only 2 miles each time. I am proud of myself that I pulled this off. The rest was good for me.

Even though June has been such a low mileage month, I have already logged over 500 miles this year, so well in plan to reach my 1000 miles at the end of the year.

Rather than running I focused back on eating this June. I signed up to receive an organic veggie box delivered to my home. I received the first one last Friday and love it.

My veggie box

The carrots are still covered in soil with the green bits having to be chopped off. I don’t recall the last time cleaning carrots and eating them this fresh. They were so yummy. I haven’t had good luck with avocados here in the UK, but the ones in my veggie box were just perfectly ripe and delicious. With my next delivery I surely will ask for a bigger box. Even the colors of the veggies look more vibrant. I am going to have the delicious looking tomatoes and pepper today.

I might try a sun dance or something to get the sun come out and play. It’s back to running this month and I will love it more when the sun is shining! 🙂

Happy week, y’all!

  1. We’re having the opposite here in Hangzhou… the sun is shining in all it’s glory and this is suppose to be “rainy” season… you know this Florida girl is a happy camper 🙂
